Congratulations on your adoption! We have a 4 1/2 year old Weimaraner named Dolly Loretta. She was adopted from a Weim rescue near Knoxville, Tennessee- thus, her name after Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn.
Weims will help you get some great exercise! Dolly goes to day care twice a week (I work at home the other 3) and we walk 3 miles a day. Weims are incredibly intelligent, too. We have a 5 yr old Dachshund, Franklin, too, and they sleep on the same bed and play together. Weims are very gentle loving dogs, real people-dogs!

Thanks! Your blog is great; love all the pictures of your fur kids. Plus, it is always nice to see that I'm not the only crazy dog person.
I am hoping Wiki will get me going on some long walks. Right now, her leash is mostly a chew toy, but eventually should be able to do some hiking and beach trips.
Could always use tips on working from home. I'm freelance writing right now, and I definitely have not been very productive since Wiki came (partly because she is a handful, and partly because she is just so cute I don't want to do anything but play with her). Starting to get the hang of getting things done while she naps. I think, though, that as she gets older, into more of a routine, and can play with the bigger dogs, it will become easier.
